Algeria pulled off a massive result beating the Pharaohs. Karim Matmour opened the scoring for the hosts in the 60th minute, before a Abdelkader Ghezzal header and super solo goal from Rafik Djebbour earned the Desert Foxes a 3-nil lead over the six-times African champions. Mohammed Aboutraika clawed one back for the visitors with three minutes to go, but it was nowhere near enough.
