Causing emotional loss to the club!

I picked a copy of the Hearts News tabloid this morning and was a bit amused at what I read.

The current league leaders claim their two substitute goalkeepers, Sammy Adjei and Laud Quartey conspired to wreck their league campaign on Wednesday.

The duo are reported to have deserted the team without permission from the club's technical team and that resulted in their 1-0 loss to AshGold at the Len Clay.

Said team manager Saban Quaye:

"Both keepers left camp when in fact we needed them to represent the club in the game against AshGold so we were forced to take McCarthy and Joshua with us even though we had wanted to especially rest McCarthy.

Quaye accused Sammy Adjei for feigning stomach ache and added that when granted permission, he returns only after persistant calls by the technical team.

"These are the two other keepers that we look up to but they have shown in recent times that they cannot be trusted when it comes to going the extra mile for the team."

Adjei joined Hearts of Oak for the rest of season in March but his yet to make his first appearance for the league leaders.
