The coach of Ghana’s female hockey team played up his team’s chances in the run up to the hockey Nations’ Cup.
It pushed on Friday 11 July and ended on 19 July. The Ghana team has failed to win the top prize since the inception of the competition and when all points to them winning, they have tended to be very disappointing.
“Nothing can stop us from winning our first gold in the competition,” said Emmanuel Ahadji then.
The government of Ghana has invested heavily in this tournament and understandably, the players were said to be feeling a sense of obligation to the nation.
“Nothing can stop us from giving the president a good present. This is our time”
Well they could not do that.
