As I said yesterday, I hoped New Zealand would be confident and make themselves a case for their impending World Cup playoffs.
Sadly, they did not. And could not.
I was on the panel discussions with Sammy Bartels and Victor Hagan on TV3 and it went well.
But I was disappointed that Ricki Herbert's boys did not do more. In the first half, they had totally no idea what hit them.
They did have a measure of the Spanish armada in the second half, but of course it was way too late.
And they were whipped 5-0, with the goals here for you to relive.
