Schwarzenegger wants another USA World Cup

Arnold Schwarzenegger is leading a campaign to take the football (or soccer, in this case) World Cup back to America.

The U.S.A hosted the sporting extravanza for the first time in 1994, and soccer bosses in the country are bidding to become the home country of the sports spectacular in either 2018 or 2022.

Soccer fanatic and California Governor is backing the campaign - pitching his state as a potential venue.

In an announcement Schwarzenegger said: "I joined the team to bring FIFA World Cup soccer to the U.S. and Canada in 2018 or 2022. I want to add my voice to the cause."

The Governor, who reveals he played soccer in his hometown in Austria, adds, "It's (soccer) the number one sport in the world and the World Cup is the world's number one sporting event. Let's bring it back to the U.S.A."

Now the Governator is stumping for the World Cup, both on video and Twitter. Here's the video edition.

The USA bid has got strong support from the very top and even President Obama wrote a letter to Fifa in April.
