Staying in the heat

Temperatures up North of Ghana can get blistering hot and bitingly cold. Average temperatures at this time of year are 36 degrees in the day and 40+ degrees at night.

But that's what Milo Rajevac has requested for his boys. The Black Stars will begin five days of camping in Tamale today after beating Uganda 2-1 in an international friendly.

Milo’s side took a 2-0 lead through Egypt based striker Papa Arko and midfielder Yussif Chibsah before Uganda pulled one back with three minutes remaining through Geoffery Sunkuma.

But it should be said that many of the players who played against Uganda may be omitted to the background with the expected arrival of the sides’ big names who were unavailable for the Uganda friendly.

The Stars are preparing for the World/Nations' Cup games.
